HINO 500 SERIES 4X4 - MORE POWER, TORQUE & PAYLOAD
The Hino 500 Series GT 1528 is available in single or crew cab configurations and has more power and torque, higher axle capacities, larger GVM and an increased payload.
Featuring a suite of safety inclusions, a five-speed Allison 2500 Series automatic transmission and a new higher capacity dual-range transfer case, this vehicle will continue to be a popular choice for off-road work in some of the toughest conditions.;
SAFETY
Safety is a priority and the 500 Series GT 1528 features a standard reverse camera, alongside Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), cruise control, driver’s SRS airbag, heated and electrically operated external mirrors and an ISRI 6860/870 driver’s seat with an integrated safety belt.
POWER AND EFFICIENCY
Delivering more power and torque from the trusted Hino J08 turbocharged six-cylinder engine, with power output increased to 280hp (206kW) and 824Nm of torque. GVM has also been increased from 13 tonne to 14.5 tonne, courtesy of an upgraded 5.5 tonne front axle and a 10 tonne rear axle. The turning circle has been reduced by over a metre, which is critical for customers navigating through tight off road tracks.
TRANSMISSION
Given the challenging conditions the GT 4x4 operates within, the five-speed Allison 2500 Series automatic transmission is key when traversing through tough terrain safely. With a new higher capacity dual-range transfer case, supporting the increase in power and torque delivered from the upgraded engine.
